The Shonai region, by maintaining Sakata Port and expanding highways, is
especially expected to be the center for interaction with the Japan Sea-Rim
countries, and so requires to cultivate capable people to lead in both
economy and cultural interactions. However, at present, there are regretfully
few workplaces where such knowledge of and ability in international fields
can be used. Therefore, the International Business Management Course cultivates
people with practical capabilities, who can handle corporate finance and
computing in business management, not to mention those who are well versed
in international trading and languages. As a result our great emphasis
is laid on having students get jobs. Continuing entrepreneurial education
from previous years, we will foster more outstanding people who have the
ability to be the driving force of future local companies and who could
contribute to local economy, with the ability to start and develop venture
businesses themselves.
Concentrating on English, Bookkeeping/Accounts and Computing in the curriculum,
especially English and Bookkeeping/Accounts, we continue to offer elective
courses in English and Bookkeeping/Accounts in order to develop the abilities
of students according to their strength. In addition, with the Business
Incubation Class to conduct practical venture business education, we foster
students' practical abilities synthesized with knowledge of management
and economics as well as the above mentioned three main subjects. Further,
we adopt a large amount of actual practice role-play, and place stress
on work experience, international exchange training and training on overseas
trips to improve skills in collecting information and making presentations.
We aim to improve students' capabilities adjusting themselves to the society.

To cultivate specialists in corporate management who are equipped with
